New York City's #1 hourly employment mobile app and blue-collar talent jobs marketplace was Merlin Jobs. We were able to bring together over 500,000 candidates and thousands of employees to provide better guidance and job prospects for hourly workers who want to advance personally and professionally as a consequence of this effort. And, after 3 years, the company was acquired in a very creative M&A deal.

For this presentation, I’m going to share in detail the work done by a specific team in charge of the employers’ dashboard. This experience includes a new feature called In-person intervirews. Our user is going to be able to login, access jobs dashboard and then ask for a candidate for a interview.

Responsibilities

This was a three-year-long collaborative process. With the progression of time, my responsibilities evolved and grew. I was in charge of both platforms' initial UX design (for candidates and employers). Later, I concentrated exclusively on employers as the business grew, developing the entire experience, conducting usability testing, speaking with real users practically every day, collaborating directly with our analytics team to evaluate data and make educated design decisions, A/B testing, and more. I can say that working with the Merlin team has impacted positively my career and growth.
