Marketplace
April 2017 - Merlin’s jobs marketplace for employers
Introduction
Platform | Desktop + Mobile + App User | Employers for blue-collar jobs Time | 3 years Language | English
Merlin Jobs was New York City's #1 mobile app and marketplace for blue-collar job seekers. Through our efforts, we connected over 500,000 candidates with thousands of employers, providing better job opportunities and career growth for hourly workers. After three years, the company was acquired in a unique and strategic M&A deal.
In this presentation, I will detail the work of a specific team responsible for the employers' dashboard. This includes the introduction of a key feature—In-Person Interviews—which allows employers to log in, access the job dashboard, and seamlessly schedule interviews with candidates.

Responsibilities
This was a three-year-long collaborative effort, during which my responsibilities evolved significantly. Initially, I led the UX design for both candidate and employer platforms. As the company grew, I focused exclusively on the employer experience, shaping the entire platform through:
Designing and refining the employer dashboard
Conducting usability testing and speaking with real users daily
Working closely with the analytics team to assess data and make informed design decisions
Running A/B tests to optimize performance
Collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and marketing teams
Working with the Merlin Jobs team had a profound impact on my career, strengthening my skills in UX, data-driven design, and user research while reinforcing the value of cross-functional collaboration.
